PARKES ARTHUR (Whickham). Peacefully on 18th January 2017, aged 88 years, Arthur. Husband of Kathleen, loving dad of Anne and Carol, dear father-in-law of Chris and Mark, also gorgeous grandad of Luke and Katy. Would friends please meet for service and cremation at Saltwell Crematorium, Gateshead on Thursday 2nd February at 2.30pm. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Smile For Life. All welcome afterwards for refreshments at the Bay Horse Whickham.

PATE AMY (North Shields). Formerly of Howdon. Passed away in hospital on 22nd January 2017, aged 78 years. Beloved husband of the late Bob, mother of Keith and loving mother of Janice, mother in law of Ronnie and a much loved grandma of Lee, Joe, Ricky and Nicola and great grandma of Heidi. Peacefully in Q.E Hospital on 13th January 2017 aged 95 years Vera, loving sister of Sid and the late Les, Albert, Stan, Don, Ken, Doug and Dennis. Much loved sister in law of Elizabeth and aunty of Suzanne, Edward and Ralph and great aunty of Leah and Bethany. Would family and friends please meet for funeral service at St. John's Church, Greenside on Wednesday 1st February at 12.00 noon followed by interment in Greenside Cemetery. TURNER ALEXANDER CHISHOLM (Jarrow). Peacefully in hospital on 20th January aged 93 years. Funeral service to be held at South Shields Crematorium on Monday 30th January at 10.30 am. All welcome.
