WITH his massive underbite and oddcoloured eyes, he won't be winning any beauty contests.

But Fester the Boxer has a striking personality which could melt any heart.

The one-year-old was abandoned and left wandering the streets as a stray just before Christmas before being rescued by Dogs Trust Darlington.

Fester is a boy with an character.

His canine carers at the charity were instantly won over by his unique appearance. They are now hoping someone will take a shine to him and offer him a forever home.

Sue Dogs Fester has a narrow jaw, which gives him his underbite, and different-coloured eyes. The Trust said neither of these physical attributes carry any health implications.

However, rehoming centre staff are concerned that fun-loving Fester may end up being overlooked by potential new owners due to his unusual appearance.

Sue Embleton, rehoming centre manager at Dogs Trust Darlington, said: "Fester is a gorgeous boy with an amazing character, so we can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want him as part of their family. …
