Florida: The Gators flipped one commitment and backed off of another as college programs entered the final stretch of recruiting. Florida landed a pledge from safety Donovan Stiner on Sunday. Stiner (6-2, 185) is a three-star prospect from Bellaire, Texas, who is rated as the nation's No. 54 overall safety by 247 Sports. He had been committed to Houston. The Gators backed away from signing receiver James Robinson, a Super 75 selection from Lakeland. The Orlando Sentinel was one of the first news outlets to report that the Gators wouldn't send a letter-of-intent to Robinson after he was cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession while on a visit to Ohio State last weekend. Robinson was considered a heavy Gators lean.

Mandarin: Mustangs receiver Zak Netting committed to Florida Tech on Monday. Netting (6-0, 170) led Mandarin in receiving last season, catching 21 passes for 284 yards and a touchdown. …
