Title Is on Troy's Radar; Loeskow on Top Again in KZ2 Class

MOTORSPORT: Not even Supercars drivers could stop Bundaberg's Troy Loeskow's run in the KZ2 class of the Australian Kart Championship.

Battling the best karters in the country including Supercars drivers Nick Percat and Macauley Jones the 21-year-old won his second straight round of the series in Geelong last weekend.

In a dominant performance he took out pole, two victories and was not outside of the top five during the four races.

Maintaining his championship lead he has now extended it to 38 points ahead of the final three rounds.

"We were pretty fast in practice and managed to get it on pole," Loeskow said.

"The only issue we had was the tyres were getting worn which happened in the first and second race.

"Once we put new tyres on for the final race we were really fast."

And Loeskow can't believe where he is considering his best finish last year was third in the South Australian round of the championship in Monarto. …
