Colts Eye a Full Season; Warwick at Home in Friday Night Footy

RUGBY UNION: Jared Fearby is in his first full season of B-grade rugby with the Warwick Water Rats men's team.

He is one of a large number of colts players lining up for Warwick against Rangers at 7.30pm tonight at Risdon Oval.

He played hooker for Scots PGC College Firsts last year and had four or five games with the Water Rats in the Darling Downs competition.

Last year was his second at the college and he has now started an apprenticeship as an electrician with Chris Malone.

"I am looking forward to the rugby season and want to play flanker," he said.

Fearby also plays cricket with the Wheatvale club, following in the footsteps of his father, Geoff, who was a star at club and Mitchell Shield level in Warwick cricket.

Tom Winter hails from Moree and is playing school and club footy this season.

He won the Water Rats Player of the Year award last season in his first year of senior footy.

This season is his third in the Scots PGC First XV and he is usually an open side flanker but has played a lotof flyhalf for the Water Rats. …
