HELPING less fortunate animals, Dee Spinks from Animal Rescue Coffs Harbour has been nominated as this week's Community Champion.

Animal Rescue Coffs Harbour (ARCH) is a self-funded group which rescues and re-homes animals from country pounds.

What do you do?

Animal Rescue Coffs Harbour rescues and re-homes abandoned companion animals, mostly dogs.

We are part of a large network of small self-funded rescue groups around the country, taking animals from pounds when owners fail to reclaim or surrender them before the pounds put them to sleep.

We also help with extreme circumstances in the community such as illness and family breakdown which can leave people with no choice but to surrender their beloved pet.

ARCH has been operating for just over three years now and has rescued over 100 dogs as well as cats, rabbits and birds.

All of our animals are in foster care across the Coffs Coast, living in a family environment until they find their forever homes. …
