CHOOK CHUCKED AT COPS Robber Allegedly Afowl of the Law; Man, 52, Charged with Robbing Servo, Takeaway

CHICKEN has been thrown at police as they attempted to arrest a man who allegedly robbed two Bundaberg stores.

Police allege that about 12.50am a man drove into the Bundaberg West Caltex service station on Bourbong St and filled his car with fuel before entering the store.

The man collected a number of items before approaching the counter and allegedly making verbal threats towards a male employee.

The man then allegedly picked up a confectionery shelf, spilling its contents before throwing bottles of water and a flavoured milk at the staff member and making further threats.

He then allegedly fled the store and drove away without paying for any of the items.

A short time later the man returned to the service station in his car and walked to the front doors which had been locked by the staff member.

The man allegedly then pulled on a handle until it broke off and the doors became dislodged before again leaving the scene. …
