Talented Teen Named in the Queensland Fusion Squad

NETBALL: One phone call and Shenae Grant's 2017 just got a whole lot busier.

Grant received a call last Tuesday, informing her that she had made the 2017 squad for the Queensland Fusion, a side that is part of the Australian Netball League and acts as feeder to the Queensland Firebirds.

"They had announced the team earlier but had a few spots open and I got one," she said.

"That's the Australian National League and I will get to play all around the country. It should be good."

This year Grant will play netball at a national, state and regional level when she dons team colours for the Queensland Fusion, the under-19 state team and the Golden South Jaguars.

"I've achieved more than I thought I would," she said.

"Under-17 was the biggest step but now Fusion is, I didn't expect that one."

Grant started her training with Fusion at the weekend and is excited to get the year started. …
