National Finalist Has Passion for Pageant

SHE'S young and beautiful but that is not why Jenna Kerschbaumer entered a pageant.

Rather than entering a contest concerned with appearance, the Rockhampton woman lined up in the Ms Earth Australia pageant to raise awareness for our oceans.

A national finalist, Jenna said the organisation promoted the renovation, restoration, conservation and preservation of all of Earth's inhabitants and natural resources.

Jenna said the organisation's director Danielle Mars had asked her to enter the pageant.

She said she had thought about it for a few months before deciding to accept the offer.

"The motto of the organisation sounded absolutely perfect to make my plans turn to action and create a bigger impact and I thought why not implement my plan while being a MsEarth Australia national finalist and really get my voice heard," she said.

As part of the pageant Jenna launched the Reduce Our Ocean's Waste campaign in a bid to raise community awareness about the impact waste has on our ocean and its inhabitants. …
