Marsh Hopes for Test Recall; Opener Says Big Bash Will Give Him Platform to Force His Way Back into Top Side

CRICKET: Shaun Marsh says he still has his sights on a Test return, as he gets set for a comeback with the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League tonight.

Marsh (pictured) will look for runs against the Sixers in Sydney and in Thursday's encounter with the Melbourne Renegades at Etihad Stadium.

He is an outsider to make the side for the third Test against Pakistan next week, especially with the form of Matt Renshaw and Peter Handscomb, but is still a huge chance to tour India in February.

Marsh said he was still sure he had what it took at the highest level.

"I still feel fairly young in cricket terms. I still feel like I've got a lot to offer at the top level," he said.

"I'm just looking forward to getting out there tomorrow for the Scorchers, trying to score some runs in the next couple of games, and see where it takes me.

"I'm not going to put too much pressure on myself. I'm going to go out there and have a bit of fun."

Marsh has been hampered by soft-tissue injuries throughout his career. …
