CALOUNDRA

Coach: Glenn Irwin

Captain: Chris and Lance Ainsworth

Venue: Timonee Oval, Golden Beach

Key players: Chris and Lance Ainsworth, Blair Howard.

Coach's comment: I think at this time of year we've probably got to set our goals on making the finals. We'd like to think that's achievable. We've got good depth, probably more than this time last year and that puts us in reasonable shape.

Last year: Third of seven

Premierships: Three (last one in 2014)

Prediction: Premiership

CABOOLTURE

Coach: Adrian Rouse

Captain: Brodie Lovell

Venue: Bob Day Oval, Caboolture Sports Complex, Morayfield

Key players: Scott Maddick, Dillon Lowe.

Coach's comment: The pre-season's gone really well. This year we were lucky enough to get two qualified strength and conditioning guys on board. They volunteered. The club doesn't have a great deal of money so that was a massive coup for us and they've got the boys fitter than what we were this time last year. We've retained the core nucleus of our squad from last year and a couple of big boys who have played for Caboolture in the past but didn't play for us last have come back, Matt Cornish and Chad Norman, so we've got a bit of size this year. Hopefully we can go one or two spots better this year.

Last year: Fourth

Premierships: Four (last one in 2011)

Prediction: Second

KAWANA

Coach: Rob Brough

Captain: Jono Muir

Venue: Kawana Sports Precinct, Bokarina

Key players: Sean Young, Andre Iro

Coach's comment: It's going to be tough to win game. I think all tje sides are very good. You will have to be very committed to playing finals footy. I think Maroochydore will be stronger than they were (last year) and you've got Noosa with an influx of Falcons. All clubs have Falcons players which will make them stronger. We are playing Caloundra on Saturday and they have Sam Young and Alex Copelin playing as outside backs and they're both quality players. We're going into our first game without our halves at the moment, Rohan Messer (hamstring) and Justin Otto (hamstring).

Last year: Runner-up

Premierships: Five (last one in 2015)

Prediction: Fifth

MAROOCHYDORE

Coach: Brett Winkler

Co-captain: Murray Goldsworthy and Josh Buckland

Venue: Maroochydore Junior Rugby League Grounds, Buderum

Key players: As a rule, I don't highlight any guy but we've probably maintained 70 percent of our players from last year. …
