Karts Blazing at Grafton; Sporting Car Club Signals the Start of New Go Kart Season

GO KARTS: The karts are fuelled, the track is clear and all we need is the starter's gun as Grafton Sporting Car Club open their Go Karts season at Mountainview Hillclimb track this weekend.

After the official first round was washed out last month, karters of all ages have been itching to get back on to the track.

The weekend will kick off with practice rounds from 9am tomorrow, before the racing moves into full gear on Sunday.

William Gallagher will be an early threat in the Cadet 9 class after finishing with some good placings at other tracks this year.

He will not have everything his own way due to a new driver from Touringham, by the name of Milo Baff.

Milo and his brother Ronny practised on the track for the first time last weekend and turned in some fast laps for their first time at Mountainview.

The elder Baff will race in the Cadets 12 class against local driver Braith Martin who has shown consistency with his strong lap times in recent seasons. …
