H&H Limousins Sale Attracts Bumper Borderway Entry

HARRISON and Hetherington's annual spring sale of pedigree Limousin cattle has attracted the largest collective sale of the breed seen at Carlisle for many years at 418 head.

Held under auspices of the British Limousin Cattle Society at the Borderway Mart in Carlisle on May 5 and 6, this sale is one of the key dates in H&H's annual livestock calendar.

This year there are 218 bulls and 200 females entered, almost double the number of females entered last year.

Harrison & Hetherington's auctioneer Grant Anderson said: "There is, and always has been a very close association between ourselves and the Limousin Cattle Society.

"This is one of the Society's key sales of the year, renowned for attracting outstanding animals and this year will be no exception as we have such a tremendous catalogue of entries.

"Currently there is strong confidence in the pedigree and commercial sectors of the cattle industry and this sale will, as always, provide a very good spring benchmark as it is aimed at both commercial and pedigree breeders. …
