THE Test match should be a good game tomorrow night in Canberra.

New Zealand need to improve on what they did in the Four Nations to beat Australia but have selected a strong side.

The Kiwis have a classy forward pack led by Melbourne Storm prop Jesse Bromwich.

Kieran Foran has made a huge difference to the Warriors since he has been back and is a proven big match performer.

This Anzac Test has never been a good one for New Zealand, they do better when they get into a three or four-week camp at the end of the season.

I have the feeling that with Foran back in form behind the Kiwi forward pack, it will be a close game tomorrow night.

I expect they will make a decision on the fitness of Australian five-eighth Johnathan Thurston today.

My gut feeling is he will play. He will want to be there for Cameron Smith's 50th Test match.

There are a number of reasons he will want to play but the 50th for Smith is a big one.

They finished school in Queensland in 2000, are the same age and have played so much footy together from juniors to the highest level.

Australia will rely on Cameron Smith, he is head and shoulders ahead of everyone else as the best player in the game.

What he does is super human.

He controls the game, the attack, the kicking game and is a brilliant defender.

Smith has a lot of variation with his passing game from dummy half, he is just a master.

We are privileged to be able to watch him play.

You don't appreciate greatness when it is around, it is only when they are retired that we understand how great they actually were.

Cameron Smith is truly a great player.

Thurston was quoted as saying the other day that when he runs on the field with Smith, he doesn't feel they are ever going to lose. …
