First weekend in May - it's Shrimpfest week! The Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival runs 6-10 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the streets of downtown Fernandina Beach. Fireworks Friday night, a pirate invasion at noon Saturday and music, crafts and shrimp all weekend. Free.

More than 60 acts will take the stage at the Gamble Rogers Music Festival, which will be held at the Colonial Quarter in St. Augustine. Music starts at 6 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. $10-$20.
