THE Northumbria Summer League is about to kick off with five divisions each consisting of eight teams.

There is no Premier Division, which means Division One is host to a mixture of teams from the Winter League's Premier, Division One and Division Two.

League winners and usual favourites Cramlington Casuals are represented by a selection of Division One and Premier players such as James Bradbury, Rob Reed, Adam Webster, Gareth Pearson and Iain Wood.

Players from the winter Casuals team are registered for the Cramlington Stingers - Andrew Wilkinson, Peter Smallcombe, Steven Penman and Marc Cotton - with the addition of Dale Aitkenhead from Mitford, who have not entered a squad into the summer league.

Mount also have two sides in Division One.

They recall 2016 Summer League players Duncan Wraight and Lee Eadington to accompany their usual line-up of Graeme Barella (pictured), David Pringle, Anthony Ainley and Phil Prady in the A team. …
