Stokesley Are Keen to Build on a Good Start

LEAGUE leaders Stokesley have a three-point cushion going into their home game with Richmondshire and will be unchanged following last Saturday's win at Hartlepool.

Secretary Mark Smith said: "Richmondshire without doubt will be our biggest test of the season so far and we will be looking to continue our good start."

Skipper Andrew Weighell is in excellent form.

He already has 211 runs and seven wickets to his name this season in the league following a match-winning 92 in last weekend's victory.

Richmondshire have selected the same team as last Saturday and they are looking for their "first win of the season in the league," according to Sam Wood - but they know it will not be easy at the SCG.

Middlesbrough, in third position, take on champions Barnard Castle in second place and Boro will have the same team as last week as they are still missing James Beaumont and Paul Johnston.

Skipper James Lowe said: "We feel like we are playing decent stuff, so we are looking forward to the challenge of playing against a very good side."

Marton welcome Guisborough and they will be looking for three wins in a row following their brilliant victory at Barnard Castle on Saturday.

Skipper Alex Wardell said: "We make one change from the win at Barney last week, Liam Kennedy in for Luke Gettings, and we will be looking to keep the momentum going from last weekend, into this weekend." Guisborough are without Nick Hood and Tom Gittins so Stephen Turner and Dan Bowman are called into the team.

Chris Nicholls from the club said: "It was a very positive result last Saturday against Norton to pick up our first league win of the season.

"Our professional Shanuka Dissanayake was in magnificent form and showed what a class act he is. It should be a great game against Marton after their win at Barney and a true test of our good start to the season. …
