Subaru Funeral Tribute to Much-Loved Dad

A FLEET of Subarus will follow a hearse through Northumberland as a much-loved dad is laid to rest.

Barry Carmon, 30, of Dinningside, Belford, died in a head-on collision on the A1 at Newton-on-the-Moor on April 8. Police say a Ford Transit van drove the wrong way down the road and collided with the dadof-three's Subaru Impreza. Pals will pay tribute to the car enthusiast by following the hearse in their own Subarus from Berwick to Belford before his funeral.

The service will be held at St Mary's Church in Belford at 1pm on Saturday.

Barry's parents have asked for family flowers only and requested that any donations should be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

After the service, friends and family will gather for the wake at the Salmon Inn.

Barry's heartbroken family posted on Facebook: "It has been a very difficult few weeks for us all.

"Barry was taken far too soon, he was in the prime of his life. We would like to thank everyone for all their support. …
