Coach Proud of His Boys against Pride Capras Hang Tough

RUGBY LEAGUE: It wasn't a pretty win by any means but Capras coach Kim Williams was happy to take two Intrust Super Cup competi- tion points back to Rock- hampton after a 10-4 win over the Northern Pride at Gladstone's Marley Brown Oval on Saturday night.

The Capras were made to dig deep throughout the contest with both sides engaging in a genuine arm wrestle over the entire 80 minutes.

Ball handling dogged both sides throughout the Round 12 encounter, hindering the Capras' ability to put the contest beyond doubt with no points scored during the second half.

Williams signalled that improvement was needed heading into the Capras' next two games ahead of their Round 15 bye.

"We did it the hard way but two points is two points," Williams said. "It was good to get away with the victory but we'll certainly need to improve on that.

"We were under the pump for long periods in the second half and had a few injuries so the strength of character and toughness was what got us over the line. …
