WHEN delivering care to you or your family member, we want you to know that you're in the best possible hands, receiving the best support and treatment available from the best team.

We have more staff and trained volunteers dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer and other lifelimiting illnesses than any other local organisation in Middlesbrough.

Volunteers play a vital role in helping to deliver high-quality care at Teesside Hospice.

They are an integral part of the team and receive appropriate training, support and development, to ensure you and your family benefit from a safe and effective service.

This process begins with a comprehensive interview to discover an individual's skills and talents and to identify the perfect role for them. Following a full and detailed induction, we offer expert training, which is continued throughout their time as a volunteer at Teesside Hospice.

Currently we have more than 500 dedicated volunteers across our organisation, from day hospice assistants and counsellors, to coffee shop assistants and charity shop sales assistants. …
