4th Time's a Charm for Northside Couple

Robbin Winters and Toby Frazier both grew up in Jacksonville's Grand Park neighborhood on the Northside. They also attended the same place of worship, Shiloh Baptist Church, for almost 20 years, but somehow they never crossed paths. Then, in the spring of 2013, they ran into each other randomly four different times. They smiled at each other and had brief conversations. Toby admits regretting not asking for Robbin's phone number the third time he saw her. "As a guy, you kind of kick yourself for missing out on an opportunity." Luckily he would have another chance. He calls it fate that he saw Robbin again while he was at an ATM and she was coming out of a nail salon. This time, Toby wasn't going to let the occasion slip away. When he saw Robbin, he actually said out loud, "There is a God." And Robbin heard him. They started dating and never looked back.

Robbin works in human resources at SunTrust Bank and Toby is in the anti-financial crimes department at Deutsche Bank. He is also the head boys' basketball coach at Paxon High School. Robbin had been through a difficult divorce and Toby had just suffered through the death of his sister. They leaned on each other and fell in love. Robbin appreciated how Toby would send her a text message every morning to wish her a great day with peace of mind. Toby said he not only was he attracted to Robbin, he could also sense how much she cared for him and he could feel that he was becoming a better man when he was around her.

Last August Toby pretended they were going to a friend's retirement party at River City Brewing Company. When they arrived they were told the room wasn't ready, so they decided to walk around Friendship Fountain. Suddenly, Robbin saw her parents, other family members, Toby's family and Robbin's close friend. …
