Let's Go outside; TECH NOWWITH Justin Connolly GEAR UP YOUR PHONE AND GET BACK TO NATURE

WE ALL know that technology can keep us glued to our screens inside, and out of the great outdoors.

So now that summer is upon us, why don't we try to turn that on its head - how about some technology that helps us get out and about and in amongst it with nature? Your phone is always going to be the focal point, of course, so you need to keep it safe and fully juiced when going off grid.

Then you need to pack it full of apps to make it your perfect companion in the wild while you get back to nature.

All you need to supply is a tent and a sturdy pair of boots.

KEEP YOUR PHONE SAFE - LIFEPROOF CASES MOBILE phone makers are starting to cotton on to the fact that we like to take our phones with us wherever we go, and are starting to make them a bit more robust and a bit more waterproof.

But don't take any chances - stash yours away in a Lifeproof Fre case for PS69.99 and it'll be safe and dry for the duration - "waterproof, dirt proof, snow proof and drop proof", as it says.

KEEP YOUR PHONE CHARGED - BIOLITE CAMP STOVE 2, SOLAR PANEL 10, AND POWERLITE YOU'RE going to cook while you're out there, of course, so why not take a stove with you that's brilliant at that, but can also charge your phone, too.

The BioLite CampStove 2 (PS135) is what you need. It burns only wood, aided by a built-in fan, but also turns the heat into electricity so you can charge your phone using a USB connection (there are LED indicators to tell you how it's doing).

Splash out on the CampStove 2 bundle (PS200) and get a kettle and grill pan, too.

If you're not cooking, BioLite's Solar Panel 10+ (PS137) can take care of the charging as you hike if you hang it on the back of your back-pack - and why not complete the set with the PowerLight (PS65) - a torch and a lantern, with a battery you can use to charge up your phone up to three times? …
