RACING: It's been a long time between drinks but the Queensland Winter Carnival party is not over quite yet for Toowoomba mare Sold For Song.

The four-year-old's latest win came 12 months ago to the day and tomorrow Sold For Song is out to celebrate that anniversary in style when she tackles the $500,000 Tattersall's Tiara (1350m) at Eagle Farm.

The race is the final Group One event on Australia's 2016-17 racing calendar.

Sold For Song hasn't saluted since arriving with a barn-storming finish for jockey Jimmy Orman to win the Listed Daybreak Lover (1400m) at Eagle Farm on last year's Tatt's race day.

But despite remaining win-less since, Sold For Song has lost few admirers with a string of spirited and at times luckless performances in Black Type races across three states.

She maintained that stoic form at her latest appearance with a late-closing fourth behind Prompt Response in the Group 2 Dane Ripper (1350m) at Doomben two weeks ago. …
