Children Get Hands-On with Robots at Museum

THE highlight of the Cobb and Co Museum's July school holiday program has been seeing how to program robots during the Under Construction live shows.

One the show is finished, the children have the opportunity to control the robots themselves.

Exhibitions and programs manager Janelle Insley said through coding and basic programing children could tell the robots exactly what to do, so it was not only fun but a taste of what was to come in the future.

Ms Insley said the museum ensured there was a "strong education component mixed in with the fun" of its holiday programs.

"The Under Construction school holiday program is an opportunity for children to really engage in a hands-on and interactive activity and have fun in the process while learning," she said.

The program is for children aged between three to 12 years and is running weekdays until July 7 and children are able to make their own creations out of various construction materials including LEGO bricks. …
