Moura Tigers Junior Earns Capras Recall

RUGBY LEAGUE: Nathan Young spent two years in rugby league wilderness striving to make the grade.

The 23-year-old has been with the CQ Capras for three seasons but appeared in only a handful of games. Before his debut against the PNG Hunters it had been a long two years playing for Biloela Panthers.

When Capras coach Kim Williams arrived at the club the man they call Banana was unfit and not up to standard.

It took a heart to heart with his coach to snap the forward into gear. Young got himself up to speed and at long last returned to the fold.

He is expected to be in the match-day squad for this weekend's must-win game against Wynnum-Manly, named in jersey 17.

"Nathan was really good. He has been itching for a spot all year and been in my ear for a long time," Williams said.

"I like that about him. He has been made to wait a long time and has really had to earn his spot. …
