RUGBY UNION: There is set to be a few sore bodies come Monday as Grafton's Big River Bullrouts prepare to host teams from across the east coast of Australia in their annual golden oldies "six pack" challenge.

Event organiser and Bullrouts representative Eric Watling said the tournament will be bigger and better than ever this year with more than 100 rugby players expected to take the field at the Hay Street Rugby Fields.

With the Grafton Redmen playing on the adjacent field, Watling said it will be a day jam-packed with entertainment and excitement for spectators.

"We're also hoping to play a feature golden oldies game in between the Redmen reserve grade and first grade fixtures to further promote the sport," Watling said.

"We will have an excellent number of players coming from as far north as Brisbane and as far south as the central coast."

The Bullrouts have been touring the North Coast already this year with carnivals at Lismore, Coffs Harbour, Lennox Head and Casino as they prepare for a home ground carnival of their own. …
