When it comes to getting a good reception, the North East must be up there as the best for Little Mix.

Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwell are considered pop royalty in these parts and the whole group can pretty much do no wrong.

And on Saturday night the foursome ticked another North East venue off their list when they performed to a sell-out crowd at Durham County Cricket ground.

Despite downpours throughout the day, the rain managed to stay away for the gig. And the girls put on some show - if quite short.

Opening with their fierce current hit Power, the tone and standard was set for the night.

Something that radiates from them throughout is that they are just four best friends up there having the time of their lives.

When they went into Wings, the ground was jumping. Jesy Nelson said their North East gigs were known for being 'rowdy' and the Durham crowd lived up to the reputation.
