Bieber Concert Machete Man Sent to Prison; in Brief

A MAN threatened a taxi driver with a machete and hurled racist abuse after an argument about parking broke out before a Justin Bieber concert.

Shaun Murray, 27, of Brandon Gove in Sandyford, Newcastle, launched into the tirade before the Canadian superstar's gig in Cardiff on June 30.

He had travelled from Newcastle to South Wales with his brother for the concert, held at the Principality Stadium in the city.

Sentencing at Cardiff Crown Court, Judge Jeremy Jenkins described the weapon as "fearsome".

Ian Kolvin, prosecuting, said Murray, pictured, drove to the concert with his brother Edward Graham and parked in an area reserved for taxis.

When he returned to his car at around 3pm, he found he had been "boxed in".

Prosecutors said a taxi driver asked him to move his vehicle and his behaviour became "extremely aggressive".

The court heard Murray called the taxi driver a "mother f***er" and told him: "F***ing move your car."

Mr Kolvin said Murray continued to be abusive as other taxi drivers tried to reason with him. …
