Maintaining the Fight; Minor Premiers Look to Keep Momentum

AUSSIE RULES: After wrapping up the minor premiership, the focus for the Warwick Redbacks now turns to fine-tuning for the finals series.

With two games left of the regular season, the Redbacks are eight points clear of Highfields in second position, who have the bye this week and cannot accumulate competition points.

Warwick heads to Toowoomba to take on Chinchilla today, and will be out for revenge on their last meeting.

A heavily undermanned Redbacks side made the long trip away to take on the Suns in round 12, and suffered just their second loss of the season in the process.

Since that game, Warwick has maintained its position as the team to beat in Second Division, racking up wins of 59, 75 and 62 points in their last three games.

In their win against Highfields last week, Kris Millard led the way with four goals, closely followed by Daniel Bowles with three.

The thing which was most impressive however was the defensive effort of the side, as they kept the Lions to just 16 points. …
