A MAN kicked his girlfriend in the head as she lay on the floor during a terrifying attack.

Nathan Wilson, 25, was jailed for what the judge said was a cowardly attack on a vulnerable woman.

Wilson's lawyer told Teesside Crown Court that he was devastated and ashamed by his actions which happened when he was drunk.
