Focus Turns to 2018; Capras Coach Has One Eye on Next Year

RUGBY LEAGUE: CQ Capras coach Kim Williams has put his entire squad on notice heading into the side's final two games of the Intrust Super Cup season.

Williams has been playing catch up since returning from an almost two-week break due to personal reasons, but is keen to see his side end the 2017 season on a high and snap a nine-game losing sequence in the process.

The Capras jumped off the bottom of the table last weekend courtesy of a Round 23 bye.

"I'm hoping (the bye) does us the world of good," he said.

"We've certainly got a lot more players available after an extra week to overcome any injuries so that's helped us.

"Obviously in the local competition there's a team getting knocked out each week and that's freed up a few of our fringe players.

"I'm pretty keen to give some of those guys a run that have trained all year who haven't had a game or maybe just one or two. …
