Teesside Magis-trates' Court heard the victim was left more than PS900 out of pocket as the Green's solicitor bag also contained an iPhone 7. But Green will pay back just PS55.80 after insisting he returned the phone, while paying the victim's boyfriend PS200 compensation - claims not in fact checked in court.

The 38-year-old embarked on his crime spree on July 30 after the victim left sight of her bag briefly following a 'disturbance' in a bar.

"He's seen the bag on the floor, picked it up and he and his brother have used that card," said Green's solicitor.

The defendant was charged with six offences but admitted just four on the grounds his brother allegedly carried out two of them. …
