DEFOE can strike for in-form handler Roger Varian in the trappiest renewal of Doncaster's St Leger for years.

Godolphin's HOME OF THE BRAVE (2.25) can do it the hard way once again in the Park Stakes.

Hugo Palmer's five-year-old has been better than ever this season and put in another fine effort when runner-up to fast-finishing Breton Rock in the Lennox at Glorious Goodwood.
