THE family of a young father stabbed to death yards from his south London home called today for an end to the "cycle of violence" claiming young lives in the capital.

Fitness instructor Jude Gayle, 30, was ambushed by up to four people and stabbed multiple times in a low-rise housing estate in West Norwood.

His attackers left him to die in the street in Dunbar Road after the attack at about 5.40pm on Sunday. Paramedics could not save him.

The fitness instructor lived with his two-year-old daughter nearby.

His brother Jayson told the Standard: "He was one of the most generous people I have ever known.

"Now he has a two-year-old daughter that he won't see grow up that's was all he ever wanted to do.

"He was so family-focused, always organising day trips. It's devastating. His family will have to walk past the spot he was killed every day, it has shaken the community.
