What will you do with this year's Wish money? As we approach our 100th year celebration in 2021, we find that our Scout hut is aging and in need of a new roof and various other maintenance work.

Recent estimates to replace the roof and remove existing asbestos are somewhere in the region of PS10,000.

We have held a number of fundraising events, which have raised small amounts so far.

Our fear is that we will not reach the 100 years with our hut in its current state and are asking for people to help us.

Tell us about your group: 1st Hartburn Scout Group was formed in 1921 by Captain Thomas Graham Mellanby, who went on to become District Commissioner for Stockton and Thornaby District between 1924 and 1926.

We currently have 22 Beavers, 20 Cubs and 20 Scouts.

We camp at least twice a year, one of which is a sailing camp.

What kind of activities take place at your group? Activities in our group include camping, campfires, axe throwing, archery, games and crafts. …
