IT'S over 80 years since the first four Guide Dogs were trained in the UK by Muriel Crooke and Rosamund Bond and from small beginnings we are now the largest breeder and trainer of dogs in the world.

In 2016 we bred 1,300 puppies and supported 5,015 Guide Dog/Owner partnerships.

We are also responsible for 8,000 dogs at a time, both working and retired.

The cost of a partnership is PS56,800 from birth to retirement and the Guide Dog Owner pays just 50p for their dog.

Once we support a person with a Guide Dog we commit to this for the rest of their life.

A guide dog is not for everyone so we also have our My Guide Sighted Buddy service and we provide 'wrap around' support and habilitation training for children, young people and their families from birth to 25 years old so that they have the chance to fulfil their goals and potential. …
