DANCING is something Donna Ferguson and her business partner are extremely passionate about.

So the opportunity to help others forge a career in the same industry was an opportunity they couldn't pass up.

Their business, Elite Dance Institute located in Warana, will give students the opportunity to complete a certificate or diploma in dance while they are still in high school.

Ms Ferguson said the business filled a gap in the market for talented dancers on the Coast, who had to wait until graduation to be able to complete some of these courses.

"There's two target audiences for us in terms of what we're doing," she said.

"It is first looking at school-aged students to be completing courses while they're at school and getting QCE points.

"The benefit for us is that we're not a dance studio so students can still be a part of their studios."

Ms Ferguson said her and her business partner had both teaching qualifications and studio qualifications. …
