TWO sets of brothers have been named to play for the Classic Wallabies rugby union team against the International Barbarians at Crozier Field, Lismore, on Tuesday.

Wollongbar-Alstonville juniors Alex and Matt Gibbon will be joined on the field by Yamba product and recent Wallaby Kane Douglas and his younger brother Jake.

They will get the chance to play alongside former Wallabies Drew Mitchell, Lote Tuqiri and Radike Samo, with Stephen Hoiles involved in the running of the side.

Hoiles and Mitchell were at Trinity Catholic College in Lismore yesterday for a coaching clinic.

"We've tried to make sure that any additional spots have gone to guys from this area who are playing at a higher level," Hoiles said.

"Kane still plays for the Wallabies and he'll pack down in the second row with his brother Jake.

"The Gibbon brothers are playing at a higher level and it will be good to see them out there. …
