Clash of In-Form Pacemen at Yamba Oval

CRICKET: YAMBA Oval will host the clash of the Lower Clarence Cricket Association's in-form pacemen this afternoon when Lawrence play Maclean United.

Lining up for Lawrence is Brodie Davis, who was close to unplayable last week when he took 4/12 from 6.3 overs against Harwood.

But equally as threatening is the form of United's Damien Senz, who smashed the Iluka batting lineup last week with 5/9 from just five overs.

Davis helped rout Harwood, a perennial competition heavyweight, for just 69 in 28 overs, confirming initial suggestions Lawrence has the firepower to be a credible competition threat this season.

Lawrence skipper Luke Moloney was also in good form with the ball 3/6 from four overs. He and Davis took the first five wickets to fall.

Both teams are coming into the game with winning form on the board.

United skipper Dean Moran admits his team needs to improve their batting form. …
