Coastal CHANGE; Honeybrook, Cox Help Representative Side to First Win in over 5 Years

CRICKET: Two of the Clarence Valley's brightest cricketing talents have helped North Coastal to its first win at the NSW Country Championships in more than five years.

Harwood all-rounder Brandon 'Bear' Honeybrook and former Coutts Crossing opener Luke Cox, who now plays for Coffs Colts in the Coffs Harbour District Cricket Association, were front and centre as North Coastal polished off a six-wicket win against Central Northern at Inverell.

It was a tough carnival for the North Coastal side who lost their opening two matches against Country Cricket juggernauts Western and Newcastle.

But it was all made up for with their final round win over the carnival hosts.

"It was pretty good to be down there," Honeybrook said. "It was good to play against some of the top cricketers in Country NSW.

"We didn't have any time together as a team really before the carnival; it was sort of thrown together on the day and we did what we could down there. …
