AFTER becoming disillusioned with the major parties, Sandra Anderson is running as an independent for Callide.

Ms Anderson, who is a small business owner near Gin Gin, has been involved with the Liberal National Party before, but has never had a tilt at politics.

"It's become abundantly clear to me that major parties and party politics, in my opinion, are loaded with corruption, so that's why I'm standing as an independent," she said.

Ms Anderson is one of six people running for the seat, which has no incumbent, after former Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney retired.

Ms Anderson said a lot of people were sick to death of the current situation in politics. "I truly believe that I'm the best choice for this electorate," she said. …
