Mr Mix Can Find Right Ingredients

Article excerpt

MR MIX can continue Paul Nicholls' blistering start to the season in the Badger Ales Trophy at Wincanton.

The six-year-old was a fair hurdler with a cosy win over 2m 6f at the Somerset venue on Boxing Day the pick of his efforts over timber.

Chasing was always likely to be the grey's game and he showed a willing attitude to edge out Kelvingrove on his second start over fences at Worcester in May.

MR MIX (3.35) needed the run when third on his return at Chepstow last month but ran well for a long way when third behind the classy Mia's Storm.

The six-year-old is a force to be reckoned with at this kind of level and produced another fine effort to outpoint Garo De Juilley over two miles here last time.

The daughter of Teofilo has been hit with a 5lb hike for that success but she is consistent and can follow up back over her best trip of 2m 5f.

LOUGH DERG SPIRIT (3.00) can take another step forward in the Elite Hurdle. …
