TUCABIA V EASTS: While much was made about the Westlawn bowling attack being the best in the competition before the season started, the side that has held that mantle for the past three seasons has sent a clear message that they won't go away quietly.

Led by a fiery spell from seamer Chris Adamson (6-22 off 14 and 2-36 off four) in the first innings and backed up by Brayden Pardoe and Brad Chard in the second innings, Tucabia stormed to an outright victory against GDSC Easts.

On a McKittrick Park deck covered in a healthy layer of grass and with a light breeze blowing across the ground, the Tucabia pacemen went on the attack to defend their 302-run total from last week.

A lone fightback from experienced Gary Connor (22) made the score a little more respectable as Easts were bowled out for 88 in the first dig and then 121 in the second innings. …
