THERE is no joy like the satisfaction of helping others. The Keppel Sands SES offers the perfect opportunity to do just that and the recipients are most grateful especially in times of crisis.

Keppel Sands SES spokesman Mark Schulz said in October the Keppel Sands SES celebrated 38 years of service to the community. In 2019, the group will be celebrating its 40th birthday and will be recognising those that have been part of that history.

"We currently looking for new members to help the community by responding to storms, floods, searches, community safety and assisting other agencies and emergency services in various ways at times," Mr Schulz said.

"Interested people living in the Keppel Sands, Coowonga, Nankin, Tungamul and Joskeleigh district are especially encouraged to apply.

"SES members are volunteers who can help patch a roof after a storm, help residents with sandbagging before a flood or helping their community in so many different ways. …
