Royals Creator Axed over 'Harassment'

THE creator of TV drama The Royals, starring Elizabeth Hurley, has been suspended amid claims of sexual harassment.

Producers today said they were investigating the accusations against Mark Schwahn, 51. In a statement on Twitter, actress Alexandra Park said she had "been exposed" to his "reprehensible behaviour".

Park, 28, who plays Princess Eleanor, wrote: "In the past, people were afraid to come forward ... because they were terrified of losing an opportunity so hard to come by. I am proud and grateful that today, we can take a different path."

She spoke out after 18 actors and crew who worked with Schwahn on a previous series, One Tree Hill, alleged abuse.

Allegations were raised on Saturday by former One Tree Hill writer Audrey Wauchope then detailed in an open letter by cast and crew. They said "many of us were... manipulated psychologically and emotionally" by Schwahn.
