Sheridan Eyes Golf Glory; Mur'bah Golfer Plans to Nab Holy Grail of Her Sport

SHE'S just 22 years old, but has already been acquainted with the golf course for about 15 years.

Murwillumbah-based Sheridan Gorton has embarked on her third professional season in the Australian ring.

She recently returned from competition stints in India and China and has her sights firmly set on the Ladies Professional Golf Association, the top run of the tour.

Spending mornings working on a passionfruit farm and afternoons on the green, Ms Gorton hopes to save enough to continue travelling overseas, in a bid to eventually qualify for the revered LPGA.

She has launched a GoFundMe page, titled 'Sheridan Gorton Golf', to help her get there and has already raised $3100, mostly in one single donation from two fellow members of the Murwillumbah Golf Club.

"It was a really big surprise," she said.
