EASTENDERS BBC1 MAX shouldn't expect many Christmas cards from neighbours this year, but at least his family seems to be rallying around.

Jack arranges for Oscar to pay a birthday visit, and Abi even agrees to help sort out a cake. But will Max still be able to count on the Brannings' support after Jack discovers the extent of his brother's treachery? For Josh, that means trying to steal files from his father's computer, while Lauren takes the more old-fashioned approach of chaining herself to the Community Centre.

Ian is also on a mission to bring down Willmott-Brown as he confronts his mother's rapist, while Fi remains torn over what to believe.

Whitney tries to play Cupid for Donna and Robbie, and the market is threatened with closure for the umpteenth time.

He tells her he did it because he was feeling scared about the operation and says he would understand if she left him. She doesn't, however, and puts his mind at rest by stating they're in this together.

Later, she breaks the Bistro's card machine and tells everyone they must pay by cash - so the till is full when somebody steals everything in it. They also almost bash Kate and Rana over the head while making good their escape - the girls are having a secret rendezvous at the time.

Chesney and Daniel's feud continues, this time with Chesney attempting to frame his love rival for food poisoning. Daniel is disgusted, but would he really attack Ches in revenge? Meanwhile, Anna goes on the run, Faye realises Phelan is a villain and Craig's efforts to woo Bethany fall flat.

EMMERDALE ITV IT'S Emma's funeral this week and we're finally going to discover what happened that fateful day on the viaduct. …
