For a full list of available roles, visit THE JAMES COOK UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Biomedical scientist The trust is looking for trainee and fully qualified biomedical scientists to work in the labs at James Cook. You could earn between PS22,128 and PS28,746 per year and applications are open until January 19.

Candidates must be prepared to work shifts.

Midwife Enthusiastic midwives are needed to join a "multi-disciplinary team". You'd be based within a hospital setting helping with the 5,000 deliveries the trust facilitates each year.

The salary is listed as PS22,128 to PS35,577, plus pension and staff benefits.

Consultant anaesthetist Working in theatre and anaesthetics, this role involves working in a team of consultants. The hospital says the post would suit "someone looking to maintain a broad range of interests and be part of a dynamic department".

Some overnight on-call work is required and the salary is listed as being between PS76,761 and PS103,490.

Plaster technician This part-time role is split between Redcar Primary Care Hospital and James Cook's Diabetes Centre.

The post holder will be expected to provide a service to the diabetes outpatient clinics and ward visits across both sites.

Experience of working as a plaster technician is essential and the applicant must hold the British Casting Certificate.

The salary is listed as between PS19,409 and PS22,683 per annum (pro rata).

Nurses The hospital is recruiting nurses across many speciality areas. There will be an open morning at James Cook on Saturday, January 20 from 10am to noon at the David Kenward Lecture Theatre.
