I Want to Stay at Spurs but We Must Start Winning Trophies, Says Kane

HARRY KANE today said he is happy to stay at Tottenham as long as the club start winning trophies.

Mauricio Pochettino yesterday warned Spurs would not be able to keep Kane if the England forward ever pushed to leave.

Philippe Coutinho forced through his PS142million transfer from Liverpool to Barcelona at the weekend and Pochettino said that deal showed how tough it is for clubs to hold on to their stars.

Kane scored twice in the 3-0 FA Cup win over AFC Wimbledon yesterday as Spurs seek their first silverware in a decade.

It has been reported Spurs are ready to break their wage structure to keep Kane but the 24-year-old, who last season signed a contract until 2022, has revealed he has not held talks over a new deal.

Kane insists he is happy at Spurs but outlined he wants the club to match his ambitions. …
