CRICKET: Boyne Island Tannum Sands Cricket Club has had its two-game winning streak abruptly halted by a rampaging Gracemere Bulls at the weekend.

Gracemere opener Kade Horan took three wickets in four balls on the way to his second five-wicket haul of the season in his team's double bonus point win.

The left-arm quick led the way as the second-placed Bulls restricted BITS to just 91 runs in their Round 11 Frenchville Sports Club Cap Challenge contest.

In deep trouble at 4/4, BITS captain Terry Sawyer and Callum Dominguez steadied the ship to guide the visitors to 4/66 off 18 overs, but the side ultimately fell away to be dismissed for under 100.

In reply, Gracemere's openers Todd Harmsworth and Steven Munchow got the run chase off to a flyer, ensuring the Bulls reeled in the total by the 20-over mark to claim the extra points.

Gracemere co-captain Aaron Harmsworth said it was an impressive effort from Horan, who drove home from Mackay on game day to play. …
